Apple’s Black Friday sale comes to the UK

by Darren Allan

Apple has confirmed that UK consumers will benefit from its “Black Friday” sale, which takes place this Friday.

Black Friday – a name more usually associated with some sort of catastrophic plunge in the stock market – is the Friday after Thanksgiving in the States, when retailers traditionally drop prices ready for the rush of Xmas shoppers.

Deals will be available across the whole Apple range, online and in shops. So if you’ve had your eye on a new iPod, Friday is the day to mark with a big black X on your calendar.

Exactly how big the reductions will be is a bone of contention. A rumour has been flying around that they will be substantial, although it’s more likely Apple will chip just a bit off the RRP.

We’ll know in two days time, at any rate.
