Review means BBC could drop some sites

November 25, 2009

The BBC’s expansion into the online world has been a great success, but this success may have been at the expense of other businesses and so this has caused some serious complaints about the BBC’s online activities.

Now it seems that the BBC will have to start cutting back its online presence following a review by the BBC Trust.

The BBC Trust’s plan is to reshape the whole corporation.

However, there are some parts of the BBC that are clearly in need of immediate change and the BBC websites are one of those.

This does not mean that content will be removed or even reduced, as it is clear that the BBC intends to carry on providing the same amount of content that it has been doing.

It seems that it will just be the actual websites that are cut back.
