Navy uses Sony PSP for training

The Royal Navy has adopted an interesting training method for its engineers involving Sony’s PSP handheld.

They’ve purchased over 200 of the consoles, The Times reports, to load them up with training presentations which will allow officers to study maths and physics.

Sony’s handheld is seen as a fresher way of studying than musty old books, plus in the confines of a bunk they are far more practical.

The PSPs, which are all blue (of course), also haven’t had the UMD drives disabled, giving personnel a chance to play games as well as swot up.

Apparently they’re more likely to look after the handheld that way. Too true, we’d imagine.
