Despite the current economic climate, it seems that the Carphone Warehouse is not affected, as the company’s recent results demonstrate.
City forecasts for the six months to the end of September were around £70 million, but the telecom and broadband provider surpassed that by posting pre tax profits of £75 million, which is around eighty eight per cent higher than last year.
On top of that, the company has increased its customer base to 4.1 million, not counting the Tiscali users, which is an increase of 124,000 users.

The next big change for the Carphone Warehouse will be the demerger, with TalkTalk taking on the broadband and telecom side of the business and the Carphone Warehouse concentrating on the retail market, as the deal with Best Buy comes into its own.
