Mobile broadband users in Europe will be able to benefit from some important upgrades being carried out by Ericsson Central Europe.
The upgrade, which uses microwave solutions, is expected to affect around eighteen million users.
One completed the network will be able to handle more data and at the same time it will reduce costs for the operators in Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Liechtenstein, Serbia and Slovenia.
According to the head of Ericsson Central Europe, Roland Nordgren, demand for mobile broadband is increasing in central Europe, with over eighteen million users in the region.
This network upgrade will mean a more cost effective and reliable network, along with the added benefit of a reduction of costs too.
Ericsson is currently the world’s leading provider of 3G and 4G technologies.
