The satellite broadcaster Sky Italia will be using the Brightcove online content management and publishing platform following an agreement signed by the two companies.
The idea is that the Brightcove product will provide Sky Italia with the ability to expand its audience online by offering more services, both on-demand and other content.
Sky Italia has a subscriber base of almost five million for its satellite TV services.
Brightcove is already being used by other News Corp companies like Fox Entertainment, Sky Deutschland and of course, in the UK, BSkyB.
The platform will also help Sky Italia make the viewer experience more exciting, especially when it comes to sport, such as highlighting features from the Series A Football League.
