Digital retune needed in the North West

by David Allen

With the final phase of the digital switchover complete in the north west of England, some viewers may find that they will have to retune their equipment in order to take full advantage of all the changes that have taken place.

Of course, by now Freeview set top box owners should be accustomed to retuning their equipment as in some areas this has needed to be done several times.

The digital switchover does not only affect Freeview users, as owners of BT Vision and Top Up TV equipment may also have to retune so that they are able to receive all of the new channels, or those channels that move up or down on the EPG.

According to Digital UK, the switch over has gone off without a hitch.
