James Corden looking to create World Cup show

According to the Sun it seems that having enough of Gavin and Stacy has given James Corden a new path to follow and this time he wants to follow the lead of Skinner and Baddiel by coming up with a football style show similar to the Fantasy Football League.

The initial plan is to bring out a show in time for the World Cup next year.

The show will be a cross between a chat show and light entertainment and Corden is currently in talks with the BBC over the prospects for such a show.

With digital TV being a priority for the BBC something like this could work, but during the World Cup households will be going into football overload.

Could another football related show work under those conditions?
