It seems that Motorola will be launching its own dedicated Android app store.
The news emerged when website Android and Me stumbled across the store online, and although it was pulled shortly after, they managed to snap a couple of screenshots.
It will be called Shop4Apps, and will allow users to purchase Android apps on the web, and download them onto their handset later. Or you can download direct to your mobile, of course.
Apps will be divided into free and paid-for categories, and a download history will be kept, plus you’ll be able to re-download any purchased apps onto a new phone.
Motorola is doubtless hoping the store will help to capitalise on its recent success stories, such as the Milestone smartphone (known as the Droid in the US).
