The red button that appears in the top right hand corner of the TV screen when the viewer is watching certain BBC programmes, is being used by eleven million users every week, according to data realised by the BBC.
One of the more recent successes for the red button is the release of the brand new Dr Who animation, Dreamland.
Around one million viewers pressed the red button to watch the show.
The same figure pressed red to see three exclusive Robbie Williams’ tracks during Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.
But it is Wimbledon that comes out on top, as during the tournament an estimated 7.51 million used the red button to go interactive and choose from the menu how they wanted to watch the tennis.
