The satellite broadcaster BSkyB is preparing to use the most expensive and talked about film, ‘Avatar’, to promote its own 3D channel to be launched at some point next year.

The nationwide Sky TV campaign will begin today as the film is released at cinemas.

The Sky advert will be shown before the film and will give the audience a taste of what they can expect from the Sky 3D TV channel, with the title, “3D TV from Sky, coming soon to your existing Sky+ HD box”.

The marketing has been put together by the in house agency Sky Creative.

It will shown in over seven hundred cinemas around the country for around six weeks and by then the audience will either be hooked on 3DTV or will have had enough of it already.
