Streaming pop pickers will be glad to hear that Swedish music service Spotify has revealed its most played tunes of 2009.

And the most streamed song at the number one spot? It’s the Black Eyed Peas with “I Gotta Feeling”.

Second is Flo Rida’s “Right Round”, the amended album version (we prefer the amended silent version).

Rather depressingly, in third place was David Guetta featuring Akon with “Sexy Bitch” (featuring a badly played Bontempi organ, we thought).

Keeping her “Poker Face” was Lady Gaga in fourth place, and the fifth most streamed track was Beyonce with “Halo”.

The best track in the top ten, in our humble and slightly rock biased opinion, was at number six: Kings of Leon with “Use Somebody”. It should have been “Sex on Fire” (which was number thirteen) but it’s a small mercy that a decent band made the top ten anyway.

Beyonce had the most tunes in the top twenty with three tracks. Kings of Leon, Coldplay and the Black Eyed Peas managed two tracks each, though neither of Coldplay’s made the top ten.

Mind you, at least none of the above songs are remotely Christmassy. We’re just about sick of hearing Mariah Carey and what she wants for Xmas.
