STV was wrong to cut ITV dramas

December 30, 2009

When ITV revamped its image and changed its schedules to make the programming fall in line with what the viewers wanted, the fiercely independent Scottish regional channel, STV, decided it was not having it and replaced programming with its own home grown entertainment.

However it seems no matter how independent the channel wants to be, the viewers still want to watch their favourite shows such as ‘The Bill’, ‘Doc Martin’ and ‘Midsomer Murders’ and have proved their loyalty to the shows by switching over.

According to STV’s Chief Executive, Rob Woodward, the viewers will be very delighted with the New Year schedule, which suggests that STV will be returning some of the lost TV shows to the channel.
