Warner launches VoD service in Europe

The big studios from the US have finally realised that there is money to be made through on demand services and so one studio, Warner Bros, is to make changes to how it makes its content available in Europe.

The normal process, after a film has finished its run at cinemas, is that the film comes out on DVD and then becomes available on other platforms.

But Warner Bros is going to make its content available on-demand through cable TV providers in France, Germany and the UK on the same day as the titles are released on DVD.

This gives consumers the choice of how they want to watch the film and by which method they want to pay for the content too.
