Samsung finds 3D TV technology partner

David Allen -

The electrical manufacturer Samsung has announced a new partnership deal with the 3D technology provider RealD.

Currently RealD is providing 3D display technology for cinemas, but this deal could soon see the same technology deployed in the residential consumer market too.

Both companies have a shared philosophy to bring to the home viewer the best technology available to them at the time.

This mean that viewers will be getting a whole new viewing experience, once production begins.

Cinemas have been the vanguard for 3D technology, with RealD competing against Dolby 3D and XpanD to provide the technology, but the home market is the next big thing for 3D and companies are making moves right now to make sure that it is their technology that makes into the home.
