The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned another Sky+ advert for suggesting that the digital switchover is a lot harder for consumers who do not go with the satellite provider for their digital TV service.
The advert was produced by the WCRS Ad Agency and starred Sue Johnston from the Royale Family who told viewers about her experiences of using the Sky+ satellite system.
The ASA received some complaints over the advert, saying that it might make people think that the easiest way to get digital TV would be through BSkyB.
However the broadcaster claimed that it was just trying to get its message across in a clear and concise manner, while at the same time assuring the consumer that going digital is not that difficult.
The ASA said that the advert must not be used again using the same text.
