The ‘ginger’ problem hits the BBC

January 7, 2010

It seems that the word ginger is causing all sorts of issues for broadcasters recently and this is a problem that appears to have hit the new Dr Who.

While many viewers were sad to see the old doctor go, they watched in excitement as the Doctor regenerated.

Played by Matt Smith, the actor’s first few seconds as the time lord were slightly manic but it was some of the new Doctor’s first words that shocked viewers.

To be more precise, the words “I’m still not ginger” sparked a barrage of complaints from angry parents, who no doubt have children with ginger hair.

The BBC was quick to point out that it does not have an anti-redhead policy, in fact the Doctor’s previous and latest assistants are both redheads.
