T-Mobile has announced that it will be bringing the Android Vega tablet to the UK, in conjunction with Innovative Converged Devices (ICD).

The 15 inch touchscreen device, which runs Android and has been dubbed a family hub tablet, boasts Nvidia Tegra graphics and can handle full High-Definition playback.

It also has 3G and wi-fi, and comes with a T-Mobile sim card. The idea is the whole family can use it to surf the net, send texts and use applications like a dedicated calendar.

Clever bits have been added, such as said calendar automatically sending out text reminders of important events to family member’s mobile phones. There are other extras here such as an FM radio, too.

The slate device sounds pretty neat indeed, although no word has been given on its availability or pricing yet.
