While the film and TV industries sit around discussing how they are going to roll out 3D HDTV technology, the whole 3D industry is at risk of being hijacked by the porn industry, where technology is allowing them to make and sell adult films in 3D.

The adult film industry is always leading the way when it comes to innovation in the film business, especially when it comes to delivering the product to the end users.

At the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas, one firm is selling kit for around £3000, including a Mitsubishi sixty inch 3DTV, two pairs of polarised glasses and a small computer that allows the user to stream the 3D films from the internet.

Currently several hours’ worth of material is being made in 3D and uploaded for viewing every week.
