Sky iPhone application tops one million

January 19, 2010

Sky subscribers with iPhones have been busy, as the Sky News Application designed specifically for the iPhone has now been downloaded more than a million times.

The application, which was only launched in May of last year, allows user to access the breaking news stories through Sky News.

This can be in text, images and of course video from UK, sport, world, business and celebrity news.

This application has been consistently one of the top downloads in the iTunes chart since its launch.

As the application is free of charge, the user can see what it is like and decide whether it is suitable for their lifestyle or not.

This is just one of the applications that BSkyB has developed for the iPhone, with many to come in future no doubt.

Why would only Sky subscribers be downloading this app?

You make it sound a prerequisite.
