Vodafone has just launched the Samsung Genio Slide phone.

The handset is aimed at the youth market, hence it comes with social networking support, namely Facebook and Twitter. It’s also compatible with the BBC’s iPlayer.

In terms of hardware, the Genio Slide comes with a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen, a 3 megapixel camera, wi-fi, FM radio and a slide-out Qwerty keyboard.

Pocket-Lint reports that Vodafone will have the exclusive on the Genio Slide for a month in the UK.

So if you want to get hold of the unit, that’s your only choice for now. Vodafone’s contracts start from £15 per month, with the phone free.
