Amazon MP3 store comes to Android in the UK

Amazon is expanding its MP3 store, bringing it to British mobile phone users on Android.

The Amazon MP3 app is now available at the Android Market for free, and it gives users access to something in the order of ten million DRM-free songs. Tracks are downloaded via wi-fi or 3G.

A song search facility is provided (as you would hope), plus lists of the top 100 albums and singles, so you can grab whatever’s hot (or be sure to avoid it like the plague).

It’s another definite plus for Android phones in this country, certainly for music lovers who were jealous of iTunes, anyway.
