BBC ready for a return to gaming

by David Allen

It seems that the BBC is getting ready to enter the games market in a big way.

According to MCV, the corporation will be using some of its existing content to produce high quality games for sale through the commercial division BBCW.

Two shows are being pushed as favourites for being made into a game and they are Top Gear and Dr Who.

The latter is understandable but how a Top Gear game is going to work is anyone’s guess.

In order to make this dream a reality, the BBC has signed up the former EA executive Robert Nashak to take on the important sounding role of Executive Vice President of digital entertainment.

Gaming is a huge market and the BBC wants in, now!
