The satellite TV provider BSkyB is not taking it easy, even following good results and increased subscribers, with that magic ten million subscriber figure there for the taking.

All BSkyB has to do is attract some more customers and the target will have been reached, so in order to do this sooner rather than later it is offering new customers a high definition set top box for free.

There has been increased growth in the HD market and BSkyB is looking to roll this technology out.

In order to do so it is scrapping the SD set top box and will be just providing the HD version, regardless of whether or not the subscriber wants the HD service.

As a further sweetener, new customers will also get £25 worth of M&S vouchers.
