Despite the government figure proclaiming that the UK is officially out of the recession, it seems that consumers have become rather savvy when it comes to spending.
With Valentine’s Day only a few days away, it looks like many couples will be spending the evening at home rather than going out and spending their hard earned cash.
This opens up an opportunity for broadcasters and Virgin Media is not going to sit around hoping that customers come their way.
The broadcaster is offering a whole day of romance-themed TV, which will include ‘Gossip Girl and Friends’ through the VM Video on Demand service, as well as the loved-up films ‘Love Actually’ and ‘Head Over Heels’, though the VM Movies on Demand service.
This is Virgins Media’s alternative Valentine’s Day out, or in as it may seem.
