Advertising boost for BT Vision

by David Allen

The phone, broadband and TV provider BT has been gradually increasing its customer base on its IPTV service, BT Vision.

This has been noticed by the major advertisers who are now interested in using the service to advertise their products and services.

As a result Channel Four has come forward as the first terrestrial broadcaster to have talks with BT Vision with regards to advertising on the digital TV platform.

According to New Media Age the plan would be for Channel Four to run advertising for its video on demand content.

Video on demand has a growing market, with improved broadband speeds enabling consumers to download content in a reasonable time.

The success of VoD depends greatly on advertising and it would seem this is where BT comes in.
