Bioshock 2 has topped the UK all-format video game chart, according to bean counters Chart Track.

It has blazed past Mass Effect 2 as the biggest release of 2010 thus far. In fact, Mass Effect 2 fell from the top spot to number 8, with its sales figures more than halving.

Ubisoft’s Just Dance is still performing strongly at number two, with Fifa 10 at number three (coming back up the charts due to price promotions).

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is down at number four this week, and Nintendo dominate the next three chart spots, with Wii Sports Resort, New Super Mario Bros and Wii Fit Plus respectively. That little lot have been in the chart for ages.

One of the biggest risers has been Sega’s Bayonetta – which stormed up from a lowly number thirty-eight, to number ten.
