HTC Desire makes it three from MWC

HTC has taken the wraps off a third smartphone at Mobile World Congress, this one called the Desire.

The temptingly named phone is very much like Google’s Nexus One, which isn’t surprising given that HTC manufactured the Nexus One for them.

And this HTC launch is only going to muddy the waters further for the search giant’s smartphone, as it has already got off to a somewhat spluttering start.

The HTC Desire comprises of a 3.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera, and a 1GHz processor. It runs Android 2.1, and supports Flash, too.

What will differentiate it further from the Nexus One is that it will use HTC’s popular Sense user interface.

The Desire is slated for launch in the next month or so, and thus far it’s coming to T-Mobile and Orange in the UK.
