Yahoo forges deal with Twitter

In yet another search engine and social networking site deal, Yahoo is set to incorporate real-time updates from Twitter in its search results.

That means all the latest tweets on a subject will be visible to Yahoo users. However, the search company plans to go further than the likes of Google and Bing have with their Twitter tie-ins.

Yahoo also intends to incorporate relevant Twitter content in its other web pages, such as Yahoo News, Sport, and email services.

The search result integration will come first though, with immediate effect. The other facets will be rolled out as the year progresses.

Twitter users will also be able to access their feed from within Yahoo.

Yahoo already reached a deal with Facebook at the close of last year, and hopes to become a social hub on the web.
