The media regulator Ofcom is due to release the results of its Pay TV Review this month and, whatever the outcome, it is either going to upset BSkyB or the other digital television providers.
The review is a record breaker, lasting longer than any other television consultation, probably because of the implications.
At the end of the day it seems that BSkyB will have to drop its wholesale prices.
After three long years the power house built by BSkyB is about to come under some serious pressure, but BSkyB is bound to take the standard action, taking the issue to the courts.
As BSkyB knows that eventually it is likely to lose, the longer the case remains in the courts the better off BSkyB will be.
