Channel M has been searching for a buyer for some time, but has the channel now run out of time?
It seems that following an emergency meeting at the channel yesterday, the number of staff will be cut from thirty three to just four, making it impossible to keep the station running in its usual format.
In fact tomorrow would seem to be the final curtain for the channel.
The move follows the sale of content provider GMG to Trinity Mirror.
Although the sale has gone through, there is apparently no provision being made for Channel M.
Channel M will be staying on air, but after Friday no new content will be shown.
The channel will simply be showing archived material as well as some networked news and traffic programmes.
