ITV has no deals with YouTube or Hulu

David Allen -

The way things are going there will be no escape from programming that used to be restricted to the TV sitting in the corner of the room.

Video on demand has created a huge market place where current and classic TV can be viewed as and when needed.

However, according to ITV’s director of online and interactive TV, Ben McOwen Wilson, ITV has no plans to make its content available on the popular online TV services like YouTube, Hulu, SeeSaw and the MSN Video Player.

ITV does have plans to make its content available through online services, but only through its own version, the ITV Player.

This decision means that ITV is the only terrestrial TV company that has no VoD presence on the main online video channels.
