Teenager finds repaired mobile loaded with pornography

An eighteen-year-old girl got more than she bargained for when she returned her Nokia mobile to Carphone Warehouse for repair.

It came back fixed, but also containing a number of X-rated pictures and ten video clips, featuring amongst other things footage of group sex, which left her “deeply traumatised” according to The Sun.

Apparently, when she contacted customer services to complain, they didn’t seem all that bothered, as they offered her just £10 in compensation.

Although since the affair has blown up and been reported in the tabloids, Carphone Warehouse has now offered her a new phone, a Blackberry Curve.

Which presumably the company will be checking pretty closely to make sure it doesn’t contain any orgy footage.

Carphone Warehouse is now investigating how the images and videos made it onto the girl’s phone, so we presume there’s an employee out there with his days numbered.

  1. I can imagine the conversation

Parents : What the hell is all this porn on your phone ?

Teenage Daughter : OMG - the people at carphone warehouse must have loaded it

Parents : Oh that’s ok then - shall we go buy you that new pony you wanted ?

  2. I’m not a betting man, but I’d put £100 on this being utter crap. The mobile had that content on prior to its repair, and even if it didn’t, do not try telling me ANY teenager is “deeply traumatised” over pornography nowadays.

  3. So, is this an added service that the CW will be offering in future. They pay you to supply you with porn? Great - it would pursuade me to use them!

  5. I used to work in the refurbished phone trade and once had a customer complain they had porn on the phone purchased, however it was actually on a memory car the first owner had left in.

The phone was wiped as standard, however customers were not meant to leave memory cards in, so no one checked it. Needless to say a replacement phone, apology and top-up credit were provided!
