Pace launches new IPTV STB

The UK-based developer of set-top-boxes, Pace, will be launching a new platform utilising the Microsoft Mediaroom IPTV software.

The team at Pace has come up with a fully customisable platform that will allow operators of online TV services to roll out IPTV and hybrid broadcast and broadband services.

Pace already produces tailor made packages for many of the main pay TV operators in Europe, but the mediaroom product is an interesting development as it has many far reaching possibilities for Pace.

The company has spent around three years developing this system, which means that it is able to offer customers a steady platform to use, allowing new businesses to start up in a faster manner instead of having to develop this technology themselves.
