MPs criticise BBC wage bill

It looks as if MPs are like a dog with a bone when it comes to the BBC and how much the corporation is paying its executives.

This is a subject that a cross party committee of MPs is not going to leave alone, as they have criticised the financial accountability of the BBC, audience figures, salaries for the executives and how much the BBC is paying the stars!

The Commons Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee has cited a few examples where there are concerns.

It seems that the actual cost of BBC3 to TV Licence payers is double that which is published in the annual report, and the salary and packages paid to senior management are not in line with the rest of the country, with fifty people earning between £160,000 and £647,000.
