Finally, ITV HD has come to satellite TV.

This opens up the world of high definition television to the UK viewers who have chosen satellite TV as their route to digital TV.

With the launch of ITV HD on Sky TV and Freesat, when the world cup kicks off in June, in South Africa, the amount of people watching the games on TV in high definition will have increased substantially.

For Freesat viewers, the addition of the ITV HD channel into the service’s electronic programme guide means that they will no longer have to access high definition programming through the red button service.

There are around sixty four live matches being aired between the BBC and ITV all of which will now be available in full high definition.
