The new three dimensional firmware could be available as soon as June, according to various reports on the net.
However, it won’t bring with it the ability to play 3D Blu-ray movies. That will come later in the year, as evidently it requires more preparation.
There are already PS3 games which support 3D, such as Wipeout HD and Super Stardust HD, with more slated to be on the way.
Obviously you’ll need a 3D TV set to enjoy the games, or to feel slightly ill playing them, depending on what the 3D gaming experience is like.
Sony’s first 3D sets are coming out in – you guessed it – June.
