Nintendo 3DS out in October

The gaming fiends at Nintendo have evidently been beavering away at the company’s next handheld.

For the Nintendo 3DS, which will boast 3D technology, will be out this autumn, rather than next year as we initially anticipated.

The 3DS will be unveiled at the E3 games show in June, with a target launch date of October.

That’s according to sources in the know who’ve spoken to CVG, and if true, it means Nintendo potentially stands to make a killing this Christmas. What with the world going 3D mad in terms of TV and games.

The cool thing about the Nintendo 3DS is that its three dimensional technology works without the user having to don a pair of silly looking specs.

All you need is a naked eye or two to enjoy some depth to your handheld gaming – hurrah!

Hopefully there’ll be no danger of any blinding headaches, either.
