Unlimited broadband could be a thing of the past

April 26, 2010

Recent reports are coming up with the notion that unlimited broadband could be a thing of the past, but some consumers and industry experts are saying that unlimited broadband never really existed in the first place.

Despite that, broadband providers do offer unlimited broadband packages.

The idea of being able to download as much as they want appeals to people and even those users who don’t get anywhere near to exceeding the fair usage policy (FUP) of the provider, still go for “unlimited” for peace for mind.

Research by Avanti Group has shown that unlimited packages could be unsustainable, with internet service providers looking to introduce download caps and charges for those users who exceed these limits.
