For the second year, Freesat has opened up its doors for nominations to the now annual radio and television awards.
The Freesat TV and Radio awards were launched last year in an attempt to recognise the best talent working within the industry.
The awards are open to all channels available through the free to view satellite digital TV platform.
Freesat has opened up a nominations page on the broadcaster’s website and nominations can be made for the following categories: ‘Best Entertainment Channel’, ‘Best News Channel’, ‘Best Shopping Channel’ and ‘Best Specialist Radio Station’.
Most of the awards will be judged by a panel that includes Clive Jones of GMTV, Jemima Kiss of the Guardian and Ben Preston from the Radio Times, while viewers will be able to vote directly for the Freesat Channel of the Year award.
