Vodafone 845 is a first with Android

Vodafone is dipping its toes in the waters of Android, with a new phone launch that sports Google’s ever-more-popular operating system.

The Vodafone 845 is the first of the company’s own smartphones to utilise Android.

The 845 comes with a 2.8 inch display, 3 megapixel camera, GPS, bluetooth, wi-fi, and it runs Android 2.1.

Vodafone said that the smartphone “shows our commitment and ability to take high-end trends and make them an affordable option for many”.

Which will hopefully mean that there’s a fairly budget friendly price on the handset. Fingers crossed.
