Humax to fix Freeview set-top-boxes

May 3, 2010

One downside to the digital switchover is that occasionally the set top box may pick up a fault.

This could mean intermittent issues or, in the worst case scenario, it may stop working altogether.

For the owners of older Humax Freeview PVR set top boxes the digital switchover has caused poor performance and in some case freezing.

The good news is that Humax has apologised and will be issuing a software update for the following equipment: Humax PVR-9150T, Humax PVR-9300T and the Humax PVR-9200T.

For some consumers this is an issue that has been going on for some months.

However, according to Humax, the issue has been quite complex and therefore the solution has been a long time coming.

The update will be issued during the next few weeks.
