Rolls-Royce Ghost app for iPhone

by Darren Allan

A new app has been launched for the iPhone, which allows potential buyers of a Rolls-Royce Ghost to customise and order their own version of the luxury car.

All six of them. For the rest of us, it’s a fairly pointless app which serves merely as a glimpse into how the other half lives. You know, those who can afford an almost £200,000 car.

Should you be one of those folk, you can use your diamond encrusted iPhone to configure your Ghost down to details which include the paint colour, the hubcaps, the look of the exhaust, type of leather finish on the seats and so on.

You may (or may not) be able to customise the boot size, too, as it could potentially need expanding to fit in your ego.

We are, of course, just jealous that the only Rolls-Royce we’ll ever get close to will be strapped to the side of an EasyJet plane.

The Ghost has a 6.6 litre twin-turbo V12 engine, an eight-speed automatic gearbox, and does 0 to 60 in 4.7 seconds. We’d imagine it has a drinks holder, as well, and you can probably choose the colour of that.
