Sky to remodel Anytime

As far as video on demand goes, Sky Anytime does not really cut it when compared with the other broadcasters’ services, but all that is about to change, as the satellite broadcaster will be rolling out a new version of Anytime, Sky Anytime+.

Currently the Sky+ HD subscriber has access to Anytime through the electronic programme guide (EPG) but this is limited to certain films and programmes that have been selected by Sky TV, many of which are not watched and just sit there taking up disk space.

The new Anytime+ will feature a different way of choosing content.

The user will select programmes from the Sky archives and download them to the Anytime+ service, that way the user only ever has content that they want to watch stored on the disk.
