Microsoft is giving developers the chance to get their hands on the second preview of Internet Explorer 9.

Microsoft has been promising to include better support when it comes to web standards and quicker JavaScript performance, although it has to be said that these features are yet to be completed.

A new feature that is supported in IE9 is HTML5, which is supposed allow the browser to do away with certain plug ins, such as Adobe Flash Player.

According to Dean Hachamovitch from Microsoft, developers can expect to see much more from the browser.

It could be thought that the development of HTML5 could mean the end of Flash support within Internet Explorer, but the company is all too keen to deny this.
