Apple under legal fire from HTC

by Darren Allan

Apple is the subject of another lawsuit, the second this week in fact, but this time from HTC.

The first was delivered by Nokia, as we reported on Monday, regarding five claimed patent infringements.

Now HTC is claiming Apple has infringed five of its patents with its iPhone, and other mobile devices.

HTC’s complaints centre on power management technology, and how phones store and dial numbers.

The company wants the sale of Apple’s iPhone and other mobile devices barred in the US.

Apple had previously attacked HTC back in March with its own legal action, which alleged a number of patent infringements relating to smartphone hardware design and user interface.

Oh, can’t everyone in the crazy world of smartphones all just get along?

Evidently not. We can doubtless expect Apple’s next legal salvo, returning fire at both HTC and Nokia, very shortly.
