Finally, a launch date has been set for the Ariane 5 rocket, which has been primed and made ready with the Astra 3B and the ComSatBW 2 on board.
The launch date has been set for Friday the 21st May.
It will mark the 50th launch for the Ariane 5 craft and the launch window will open just after 10 pm GMT.
The rocket is part of the satellite launch firm Arianespace which has been having all sorts of difficulties recently, with this launch cancelled three times already because of a faulty pressure regulator.
The launch, should it take place, will be the first of the year and will offer welcome relief for all concerned considering the problems that have be hitting the Ariane 5 craft just moments before take off.
However cancellation must be a better option than total loss for the satellite owners.
