The latest chart details are in for the UK all-format video games, as provided by Chart Track.

And 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa maintains the top spot for the third week running, despite some strong competition.

Microsoft’s psychological thriller Alan Wake came close to dislodging the footy favourite, however, but with a thousand less sales it had to settle for number two.

Although when you consider it’s only out on one format, the Xbox, that’s not a bad result.

Capcom’s Lost Planet 2 was another strong franchise released this week, but was pushed out to number three, a distance behind Alan Wake.

Ubisoft’s Just Dance continues to perform well at number four, and EA’s Skate 3 was in at number five.

EA also secured number six with Battlefield: Bad Company 2, which was followed by its war-like rival, the massive selling Modern Warfare 2.
