Brit’s online time increases

May 20, 2010

Although the internet seems to be full of news, surfers only spend around 2.8 per cent of their time looking at it, just slightly more that the 2.7 per cent of time spent looking at adult sites!

In fact according to the research carried out by the United Kingdom Online Measurement Company (UKOM) the amount of time spent looking over adult sites has fallen over the past three years.

The internet is fast becoming an integral part of our lives, with a 65 per cent increase in web surfing over the same three year period, with the average surfer these days spending around 22 hours and 15 minutes online each month.

It should come as no surprise that social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter account for the most amount of time spent on the internet.
