MediaCity deal not done for ITV

There appears to be some disagreement over the future of ITV and the huge MediaCity complex at Salford Quays in Manchester.

According to Crains Manchester Business newspaper, ITV is ready to sign up for the remaining 100,000 sq ft of the first phase at the complex.

However it seems that this may not be so, following the denial of any such deal by ITV.

Something must be up though, as several companies have apparently been turned away from the complex, which would suggest that the complex is full.

Nevertheless, according to an ITV spokesperson, the broadcaster has not agreed terms with MediaCity and in fact it is still considering two other options for ITV’s base in the North West.
